The Caramel House, a name that is a tad of a misnomer presently, as there is no brick-n-mortar location.  But these hand made, hand cut caramels can be found in various locations all over town.  An energetic "mom-preneur"  is the master mind behind these delicious "brain-children".

Caramels- Various Flavors

Price: 3 piece snack bag -$5

Size: Approximately 1/2 oz portions- hand cut so not exact.

Flavors: Lochhead Vanilla, Roasted Coffee, Schalfy’s  Beer and  Gus’ Pretzel, Fresh Roasted  Almond, Missouri Bacon

Texture: Soft, and stretchy, but not “pull-out-your-fillings” sticky

Notes:...

LochheadVanilla- simple and sweet.

Roasted Coffee- has a coffee bean in it- mild coffee flavor throughout and quite a crunchy kick from the bean.

Fresh Roasted Almond- crispy almond slivers throughout but not overwhelming. Nice complimentary crunch and slight saltiness against the sweet.

Beer&Pretzel- very mild beer flavor, softer texture  than the others, very crunchy pretzels and sprinkled with salt.

Bacon- smokey and “mapley” thick pieces of chewy bacon, reminded me of Sunday morning (bacon in my maple syrup)

Overall: If you like soft caramels, made with high quality local ingredients, these are not to be missed.
