      Vanilla Confetti cupcake

Size: A little bit larger than homemade.

Price: $2.75

Flavor: vanilla/vanilla

Frosting: A lighter, sweet, buttercream.  Some granulation.  Light finish, no aftertaste.  A nice amount, though frosting lovers may want more.

Cake: Mid-dense, very moist, and sweet. It has almond flavoring, which lingers lightly.

Notes: It did begin to crumble as I was eating it. It might be a tad sweet for some and if you don't like almond flavoring this is not for you. But it left a happy, smooth, sweet, taste in my mouth that  I didn't want to wash away.

Overall: I will never find myself in the CWE again with out stopping by here if I can.

My dear panel member Wendylicious brought me a Carrot Cake Cupcake from the Edwardsville location.  I would've taken a picture, but the commute was...less than kind, so imagine carrot cake, or check their website for a better pic. than I would've taken anyway.

Description: cream cheese frosting with regular carrot cake

Size: a little larger than homemade

Price: $2.75

Frosting: cream cheese, soft, sweet, and rich

Cake: very moist, semi-dense carrot cake, with carrot shavings and walnuts? (well some kind of nut, but that's my guess)

Notes: Carrot cake isn't a weakness of mine. (begins to border on stuff-in-the-stuff), but this was really good.  Very rich though, I couldn't finish it, but not for lack of trying.

Overall: I wouldn't get this again (too many other flavors to try), but a carrot cake lover DEFINITELY would.

Orange Crush

Description:Orange cake and orange butter-cream icing.  I don't normally mention decorations, but I may or may not have a thing for gummy bears.

Frosting: Very mild orange flavor,  sweet, more orange color than flavor, very slight granulation.  When I saw it I feared there wouldn't be enough frosting for the amount of cake.  No worries, it was fine for us. (though frosting lovers may want more)

Cake: very very moist classic orange cake, mid density.

Notes: Kind of reminds you of a MUCH better/fresher version of those hostess orange cupcakes you may have had as a child…or last week.  Does tend to crumble as you eat it.

Overall: The counte and I finished ours, but I like some of their other flavors better.  Vegan Vic was SWOONING though.

Island Dream

Description: Vanilla/vanilla cupcake with coconut sprinkles on top.  A bit larger than homemade.

Cake and Frosting: both very consistant with The Cup's style, the frosting has a slight granulation, but it disappears as you eat so you're not crunching on sugar granules.  Simple vanilla is the main flavor.

Notes: My aunt Toni, who is a MAJOR coconut fiend, wanted more coconut in the cake and icing, not just on top.  She says this is perfect for a "liker" of coconut, but not quite enough for a "lover".

Overall: If you like coconut you’ll like this.
