| Souffles Description: Egg whites whipped to perfection, served in ramekins and they did not really fall much, which is amazing, as they were huge. They make both flavors the same and then pour the respective sauces on them at the table. I'm not sure if this is more traditional, or just easier on the kitchen. ( it did make for a nice presentation though) Size: Large, double the size of other souffles I've seen. Enough to share after a heavy meal.( although I did see 2 ladies each finish their own... so maybe that's for each to decide)
Price: $10 each Sauce: Creamy, thin, light Gran Marnier flavored, really smooth and not too heavy so as to overwhelm the rest of it. The chocolate sauce was just that, a simple chocolate sauce, a little thicker. Base: The Souffle was impossibly light. How they mastered this I'm not sure. It had no flavor of it's own to speak of, allowing the sauces to do the work. Just light and airy, not a bad thing after a full meal. Notes: The Gran Marnier came together beautifully with the souffle, and I swore I was stuffed, but it was so light I kept lingering over it and eventually almost conquered the beast. The chocolate, not so much. The flavors and textures didn't seem to blend as well. The Counte just pecked at it and seemed very let down that the chocolate was not baked in like others he'd had. And I must say I had no desire to help him with his. Overall: I would definitely get the Gran Marnier again (as long as others got something else so I could still try different desserts) though sadly it's Chocolate twin got a little neglected, for neither of us tried to finish it. But if chocolate souffle is normally too heavy for you, this might make you a believer.
