Big sister of corner pub and grilll.  Simple menu, good atmosphere, and great food. They are STLMagazine's 2011 restaurant of the year.  Almost everything is made in-house, including dessert.

Dessert Trio

Price: All in the $7.00 range

Size: We got a small trio, but each comes in a larger size.

Cherry Financier: A light, moist lemon almond cake, with cinnamon ice cream, a hot berry mix and slivered almonds.  Served hot, crispy around the edges. Tart berries balance the lightly sweet cake, which has a clear lemon flavor.

Half Baked Chocolate Chip Cookie
- Served with Cookies n' Creme Ice Cream, peanut butter mousse and M&Ms. Served piping hot.  Very moist, almost brownie consistency, and as the peanut butter mousse melts it almost tastes like eating a melty Reese's Pieces cake.  It was very sweet, but not quite the sugar overload you're expecting.

Chocolate Souflee
-
Vanilla bean ice cream, whipped cream, nuts, cherries and sprinkles. This souffle is moist but not liquid in the middle.
Dark chocolate, not too sweet or too bitter.

Notes: Order dessert at least 20 minutes in advance, they all come straight from the oven. The cherry financier is the lightest offering while the half baked cookie is the heaviest. All different, but well balanced.

Overall: Growing up is over rated, hooray for desserts that tempt the kid in us! Did I mention peanut butter mousse?
