Size: A small bowl of berries and a shot of sweet cream.
Description: Various, local, in-season berries, such as strawberries, blueberries, cherries, grapes, and gooseberries, served with a side car of mild sweet cream.
Notes: Berries were on the tart side and the cream is light and mild.
Overall: A light summer treat for those who like dessert more on the tart side.
Size: Individual ramekin sized.
Description: A firmer textured, but moist bread pudding featuring chocolate and peanut butter. Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes: This bread pudding isn't as sweet as some others, and the chocolate and peanut butter are very subtle.
Overall: If you think of bread pudding as too strong, too sweet, or too soggy this may change your mind.
Size: a 6" round pan
Description: There are 4 flavors to choose from: Chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, macadamia nut, and double chocolate. You can get one or mix two. We opted for the macadamia and chocolate chip.
Notes: Served in a hot skillet, so it's hot and melty inside while crispy on the outside. Think "half-baked". It's on the sweeter side too.
Overall: Sugar lovers will not feel left out at Veritas. And the quality doesn't suffer here either, you can tell they are fresh and homemade (by Susanna's Cookies)
